Tour Description
Welcome to Jaipur, also known as the “Pink City” due to the color of its buildings! Today, we will take you on a comprehensive day tour of this vibrant city.
Our first stop will be at the Amber Fort, a majestic palace that was once the residence of the Rajput rulers. Built with white marble and red sandstone, the fort features intricate carvings, beautiful courtyards, and stunning views of the surrounding Aravalli hills. We will take a guided tour of the fort, exploring its various sections such as the Diwan-i-Aam (Hall of Public Audience), the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of Mirrors), and the Ganesh Pol (Gateway of Lord Ganesha).
Next, we will head to the City Palace, a complex of royal buildings that includes museums, courtyards, and gardens. The palace was built in the 18th century and features a blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. We will visit the Mubarak Mahal (Welcome Palace), the Diwan-i-Khas (Hall of Private Audience), and the Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace). We will also explore the museum inside the palace, which houses a rich collection of artifacts and artworks.
After the City Palace, we will visit the Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II in the 18th century. The observatory features a collection of astronomical instruments that were used to measure time, predict eclipses, and study celestial bodies.
Our next stop will be the Hawa Mahal, a five-story palace that was built in 1799. The palace features a unique honeycomb design that allows air to flow through its windows, keeping the palace cool in the hot summers. We will take a tour of the palace’s various balconies and explore its history and significance.
Finally, we will visit the Birla Mandir, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. The temple is made of pure white marble and features intricate carvings and sculptures. We will take a tour of the temple and learn about its history and significance.
After a full day of exploring the rich history and culture of Jaipur, we will drop you off at your hotel, marking the end of this unforgettable day tour.
