You are greeted on arrival at Cochin airport by a Kerala Tour Packages representative and thereafter drive to Munnar a hill station (140 Kms/4 Hrs drive), located 1600 meters above sea level. Once the summer resort of the erstwhile British administration in South India it still retains its colonial charm and is famous for its tea plantations, most of which are privately owned. With its sprawling estates, rolling hills, sparkling waterfalls, picture postcard hamlets, and undulating valleys, Munnar is an ideal holiday destination. En route visiting Cheyyapara & Valara waterfalls. Check into your hotel and unwind. Rest of the day at leisure to enjoy the ambiance of Munnar. Overnight at Lake N Hills – Cinnamon room.
The second day of your Kerala Tour Package starts after breakfast. Then proceed for sightseeing trips to Eravikulam National Park, Tea Museum (which will be closed on Mondays), Mattupetty, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Tea Plantations, Blossom Garden, and Pothamedu, together with the option of an enjoyable boat ride in the lake. The overnight stay will be at Lake N Hills – Cinnamon room. (NB: Tea Museum is closed on Mondays)
After breakfast is another morning drive to Alleppey, the backwater destination to see the winding canals and an amazing network of backwaters. On arrival, you will be checking in to a traditional Kerala houseboat which will take you on a fabulous tour of the backwaters, all part of what is one of the best honeymoon packages in Kerala. Overnight stay will be in the Houseboat.
The morning after breakfast checkout and drive to Cochin, upon arrival continue with the local sightseeing tour, here you can see the St Francis Church, the oldest Church in India, 500-year-old Portuguese Houses, Chinese fishing nets, 16th-century Synagogue, Jew Town, and Mattancherry Palace, built by Portuguese, this Palace contains some of India’s most beautiful murals.
